Might be that I have my monthly masculine period or that I’m just an extremely sensitve guy who wonders what the trees’ bark is made of. Either way, Mr Engelberts sings this song like he really needed to be set free, like his fucking life depends on that. He is a prisoner of love, a prisoner of rejection, and his fate is in someone else’s hands. His voice trembles because his condition has taken all strength from him, so he can only beg to stop this imprisonment that has sentenced him to life. It makes Jonsson sound like a baby on Anticimex’s song Set Me Free.
